Kyseessä on Veronica Rothin Divergent-sarja, joka tulee olemaan trilogia. Sarjasta on tähän mennessä ilmestynyt kaksi ensimmäistä osaa, Divergent sekä Insurgent. Kumpaakaan ei ole ainakaan toistaiseksi käännetty suomen kielelle.

Ahmaisin molemmat kirjat noin kahdessa päivässä, eli tarina on todella mukaansa tempaava. Se on myös mukavan erilainen tarinaltaan edellisiin lukemiini verrattuna. Luonnollisesti alussa olin vähän sekaisin eri kasteista ennen kuin pääsin tarinaan sisään, mutta ei mitenkään ärsyttävässä määrin.
Molemmissa kirjoissa jännitystarinaa ryydittää kevyen romantiikan lisäksi myös mahtavan sarkastinen huumori, repeilin naurusta useasti. Tämä on positiivinen ominaisuus kun vertaa esim. Hunger Gamesiin, joka on viimeiseen asti vakava maailmanlopun tunnelmissaan.
Insurgent jatkaa tarinaa suoraan siitä mihin se jäi Divergentin osalta, ilman suurempia aikahyppyjä.
